The Illustrator

Cony is a Chilean-based, self-taught illustrator and certified diver with a deep love for nature, animals and Asian cultures. She works with watercolour, ink, unconventional materials and Procreate to create rich, organic imagery at Elven Wings Art.
When not painting, she can usually be found negotiating creative control with her very opinionated (and possibly tyrannical) cat.

The Story

I had heard a version of ths story as a child, and all but forgotten it. It came back into my life at a very dark time and I can honestly say it gave me the strength to persevere.
I began to hunt for a full story.
Every version I could find read like a synopsis of a longer story that I could not find . After months of research, tracing back the legend through centuries and countries, I put together this version, trying to tie in the many aspects of the many short versions I had found.

I hope it touches your life as it touched mine. Be strong, be brave, keep trying.
